The Staff's Code is a set of guiding principles that staff members use to make decisions on a day to day basis. These are based on many lessons learned over our history, and in what qualities we desire the most among our staff.
Always place the members first in any decision you make. They are the most important aspect of Damage Inc, and without them, being a staff member is irrelevant. Never make your members wait for you to complete administrative work that they depend on, and always take the time to get to know them, and help them get the most out of their membership in DI.
Truly believing in DI's goals and its people will be motivating and inspiring to those around you. Motivation is contagious, and will encourage those around you to push beyond boundaries and overcome obstacles they never believed possible.
There is a certain mystique to being a staff member. Simply being one means that thousands of members look up to you, as an example of how to behave. Never be toxic, overly trolling or lose your temper in front of members, as you are a leader and the symbol of stability and fairness in our organization.
Have the backbone to challenge or disagree with decisions, no matter how uncomfortable it may be. This is how DI gets better. However, once the decision has been made, be a team player and gracefully execute your part without question to the best of your ability, irrespective of your personal feelings.
Don't take the easy path, push yourself and your members to the highest standards possible and take courageous leaps. This will earn you respect from your members and your fellow leaders, and it will ensure DI remains a great place to be.
Always uphold decisions of those above you in position publicly as if its your own, irrespective of your feelings towards it. Unity impacts for morale, not every decision will be popular - but every decision must appear united to those around you.
Never wait for something to happen, take the first step preemptively. Don't pass the responsibility to someone else, if you see something that should not be occurring, take immediate action to resolve it. You are the protectors of this community and its members.
