The Strike System is responsible for ensuring Damage Inc remains a professional, enjoyable and safe gaming community for players. If a member commits an infraction, they will receive a "Strike"; which appears as a warning on their profiles and comes with "Active Warning Points". After a period of time, the "Active Warning Points" will expire and reset back to zero, however the strike remains permanently on the member's record. Obtaining too many "Active Warning Points" in a short period of time will result in being blacklisted from Damage Inc.
Strikes can only be issued by Officers who hold the moderator license, and no later than 7 days of the strike issuing officer becoming aware of the misconduct. Given the sensitivity around issuing strikes and their effect on members, care must be taken by officers when issuing.
Officers issuing Strikes should scrutinize the quality evidence provided, and attempt to get evidence from multiple sources. The more sources are included, the stronger the Strike is and less likely it will be successfully appealed.
Tampering or falsifying evidence is an extremely egregious offense, and will result in a blacklist for any member, irrespective of rank or position.
In the event that an Officer witnessed misconduct in a non-written form (eg. Discord Voice or in-game), they may still strike the member using a witness statement. Officers should seek to get as many witness statements from different members to include in the strike, as this will make the strike less likely to be successfully appealed. However their own statement alone is enough to issue a strike.
Witness Statements are simple 2-4 sentence paragraphs by a witness explaining the "who/what/when/where/why" of witnessed misconduct that occurred. There is no specified format. The Striking Officer will screenshot this witness statement to include in the strike as evidence.
Recording conversations without the consent of the person recorded is not permissible by U.S. law. Thus, recordings without consent are not supported as evidence for strikes.

Example: Persistent, targeted toxicity toward another person, even as a "joke". Flaming for in-game performance during an event. Posting memes/jokes on the image gallery that pokes fun at a specific person/group.

Example: Publicising a complaint in a way that creates discord and upset, causing a large number of issues over private grievances, spreading false, harmful rumours about DI members and officers in a way that undermines trust within the community.

Failure to lead by example by neglecting to uphold the Officer's code or behaving in any way that is considered unprofessional. Or failing to demonstrate minimum leadership qualities through exceptional, repeated poor performance and demonstrating to be unqualified for the assigned duties/position by showing no improvement over time. This includes the refusal of following through with responsibilities and lack of communication of issues.
Examples: Leaving a position without sufficient notice or regard for the unit, failure to communicate appropriately with chain of command to a degree that causes significant harm (for instance, the deterioration of a unit under an officer's care), undermining or circumventing chain of command, repeated negligence in position after multiple verbal or written warnings.

Engaging in or attempting to engage in any illegal activity will also result in a blacklist.
