When a Member or Initiate has received 12 or more "Active Warning Points", their membership is revoked and they are permanently banned from Damage Inc (aka blacklisted).
However, there are some offenses deemed so serious that immediate blacklisting occurs:
A Blacklist is the result of "any acts by a member against DI, DI’s Leadership or DI’s members with the intent to discredit, disrupt, cause harm to, or defame, either via verbal or written communication. Also includes any form of membership of designated hostile communities. Engaging in or attempting to engage in any illegal activity will also result in a blacklist."
Examples of include (but are not limited to):
To protect our community, DI does not permit poaching of members to external communities - by DI members or otherwise.
Examples of of breaking our external poaching rules include (but are not limited to):
Former DI members who join other communities (after they have already left DI) will not be blacklisted, assuming they did not participate in any behavior that hurt DI members.
A community will no longer be considered hostile 6 months after they break-off from Damage Inc if attempts to harm DI and its members do not continue.
This strike indicates ineligibility for DI membership.
1) The member has attempted or threatened self harm, 2) The member is accused or convicted of breaking the laws of the United States, 3) The member's mental health is unstable/unfit and causes a negative experience for other members of the org, or 4) The member's relationship with DI is considered unhealthy and/or extreme to the point where their own personal real life responsibilities and/or health is sacrificed or neglected causing harm to their family or other real world relationships.
It is important to note that this strike is not a blacklist, as the member did not necessarily cause harm to DI or its members; but rather it is the member causing or threatening harm to themselves or their families due to an unhealthy quantity of stress created from their involvement in DI.
DI has therefore deemed them ineligible for membership for their own protection. This strike may be appealed after 6 months.
This strike may only be issued by those holding the Leader rank.
DI is a hobby - it should never be put before real life. Members who cannot make the right choices concerning DI and their lives (taking breaks, damaging other DI members via mental illness, etc.) will be removed from DI.
Some examples of such behavior that will result in removal are:
