The steps for promotion is as follows:
In order to be considered for promotion, a member must be eligible. Eligibility is defined by:
All Officer Positions (L4+)
Division Leader
All Division Positions (DV, TL & TV)
All L3 Positions
L3 Divisional Positions (Team Vice)
If a HL personally vouches for a promotion and that person receives another serious behavioral strike in the first 6 months they are in position, the HL will get penalized as well.
If this becomes a trend with a HL's promotions, they will be demoted from leadership.
The House Leader will also get penalized if any of the following happen:
The Responsible Officer is the manager for the vacant position, and is responsible for:
Poaching is encouraged in DI as it promotes growth for DI and the individual.
It is forbidden to convince someone to decline a position they have been offered, for any reason, because you harm DI's growth and the individuals personal development opportunities. Doing so can result in a strike and/or removal from the community.
The Promotion Request is the mechanism in which a promotion becomes authorized for execution. It is binding, and not reversible or changeable.
By agreeing to a Promotion, a member agrees to serve 3 months in that position. Failure to serve 3 months for any reason, including failure to complete Imperium training, results in a Promotion Cooldown.
The Responsible Officer must ask the following Offer Acceptance question to an Eligible Member in writing:
"By accepting this position, you agree to fulfill the duties of <POSITION> in <DIVISION> of House <HOUSE>, for a minimum of 3 months from the monthly announcement your promotion appears in.
You agree to dedicating the following weekly hours based on the rank you are accepting:
- 20+ hours weekly for officers.
- 15+ hours weekly for Team Leader positions.
- 10+ hours weekly for L3 positions.
All L4+ positions will also be required to pass IMP officer training and Team Vices are required to take LM training.
Moreover, Divisional Staff must achieve a minimum of 20+ discord voice hours a month and all Other Staff must achieve a minimum of 8+ discord voice hours a month.

L5+ officers must secure a replacement before stepping down, as outlined here: https://wiki.dmginc.gg/en/justice/temporary-bans.
Concurrent involvement in competing esports/gaming org is prohibited. Failure to uphold this agreement will result in demotion, and a promotion cooldown.

This position offer must be replied with "I accept" in writing, and a screenshot taken by the Responsible Officer to post it with the Promotion Request.
The Offer Acceptance question cannot be modified, except to add Position, Division and House (or Order) information.
Once the Promotion Request is submitted, the Eligible Member's acceptance of terms is binding, pending final checks and approval by the Order of VP in the Promotion Request. The agreement lasts for 48 hours after the request is posted, or until the promotion is accepted or declined.
If a member changes their mind, withdraws or decides to not move forward for any reason after their acceptance becomes binding (but before the promotion is processed), they will incur a Promotion Cooldown.
